Designer Announcement: Balmain and H&M Call For #HMBalmaination

H&M just announced its autumn guest collaboration with the Parisian house of Balmain! A veritable bastion of French luxury, under the creative directorship of young Olivier Rousteing, Balmain has grown into a global pop-culture phenomenon. Last night, Rousteing himself and his friends Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn, walked the red carpet at The Billboard Music Awards revealing the first pieces of the collection. Through social media H&M and Balmain invited their fans to join a movement of togetherness with: #HMBalmaination.

“I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain, getting a piece of the dream and creating a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fuelled on a hashtag. The collaboration felt extremely natural to me: H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it”, says Olivier Rousteing.

Available from November 5, in around 250 stores worldwide and online, the collection will feature clothing and accessories for both women and men.

I’ve worked with H&M Kuwait team a few times before to conceptualize and direct shoots for different collections last year. And this year, I had the pleasure of working with them again on the oh-so-hot conscious exclusive collection that has been making headlines all over the world, and it’s SO worth it. H&M Conscious Exclusive Collection

I usually highly anticipate H&M’s designer collaborations, but this year, the H&M Conscious Exclusive collection is doing the job, keeping everyone around the world on their tip toes! Inspired by flamenco and bohemia, featuring embellishments, feminine silhouette and contrasting masculine details. Each piece is incredibly feminine, yet very powerful. I’m absolutely obsessed! The eco-fashion line is the brainchild of the Swedish retailer and eco-design think tank Ever Manifesto. The collection will hit stores on April 10, and will be available in 150 stores worldwide, including both H&M stores at the avenues. It will include items made of organic leather and silk, along with other sustainable materials. Make sure to drop by and get your hands on your favorite pieces. I know I will!

Miranda Kerr for H&M Spring Summer 2014

The drop-down-gorgeous international supermodel Miranda Kerr have recently been announced the face of the H&M Spring Summer 2014 campaign. The Australian beauty manages to make everything look so good! I’m so excited for the news and I cant wait to see more of this amazing collaboration.

Go Gold: H&M’s Exclusive Capsule Collection Inspired by The Swedish Olympic Outfits

To celebrate the outfits designed by H&M in collaboration with the Swedish Winter Olympic team for Sochi 2014, H&M Sport has created a special capsule collection inspired by the Swedish Olympic outfits. The collection is made up of functional sports garments and casual items that are perfect for layering. Selected pieces from the collection have also been tested by the Swedish Olympic team.

Functionality is key, with easily packable lightweight down jackets, breathable running jackets and quick drying base layers. The collection also includes a women’s reversible down jacket with a rounded silhouette and a sporty update in down of the classic bomber for men. There are also accessories such as sneakers, backpacks and sunglasses.

H&M Spring Fashion for Woman and Men 2014

Here’s a first preview of the upcoming H&M Spring Collection 2014. The Women’s and menswear lookbooks feature looks with light silhouettes and effortlessly fresh pieces from the collection. The Spring collection will be launched in stores March 6.

The images of the Isabel Marant for H&M collection have finally arrived. Every single piece of it; from womenswear and menswear to teen and accessories, the collection does not disappoint. An embellished trophy, leather cropped trousers, a loose peasant top with printed jeans; and mannish outerwear with white trousers and slouchy boots with fringed detailing. Start making your wishlist now, before the collection lands in stores on November 14.

Look Book: Isabel Marant Pour H&M

Creating wearable looks with attitude is Isabel Marant’s straightforward design credo. Her collection for H&M synthesizes this distinctive philosophy: real clothes that capture the moment. Picking up the most beloved and iconic pieces from her career, Marant has put together an eclectic wardrobe of must-have urban staples with trademark Parisian flair. Everything a contemporary woman needs is included, from tees to sweatshirts, from tailored outerwear to dresses, from chunky knits to attractive boots and bohemian accessories. Everything goes with everything because Isabel is convinced that style is all about individual attitude.

For the very first time, Isabel Marant has also created a compact wardrobe for men, which is interspersed with the same multiculti careless vibe of the womenswear. There is precisely-tailored outerwear and heavy-knits; motorbike leather trousers are matched with tie-dye T-shirts; western-style jeans and shirts share room with the iconic hooded sweatshirt. Sporty pieces have an air of vintage Americana.

The same free-mix spirit extends to the teen wardrobe which is a playful edit of its grown-up counterpart, with a stress on prints. Marant sees no real distinction between these two efforts – it’s mostly a matter of sizes. As a designer who first started rebelling against accepted norms as a teenager, it makes perfect sense to her.

H&M Autumn 2013 Collection Preview

Last week I was invited the the private preview of H&M Autumn 2013 Paris Fashion Week collection. H&M has always been one of my absolute favorite brands, so being able to preview this collection and try on some of the amazing pieces was a pure joy. Loved it, elegant, beautiful fabrics & designs; with the most eccentric pieces being nude colored furry coats, velvet capes, cropped military jackets, next to biker caps sported with stress-embroidered tunic dresses and over-the-knee leather boots.
