TRESemmé Returns as Hair Care Sponsor of NY Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

?????????

As part of its role as the longest-running official hair care sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, TRESemmé partnered with contemporary women’s fashion designer Vivienne Tam. Led by the brand’s global stylist Matthew Curtis, the TRESemmé international team of stylists created the latest hair trends to accompany Tam’s newest collection, which debuted on Sunday, Feb. 9, at New York City’s Lincoln Center. In addition to its sponsorship of Vivienne Tam Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, TRESemmé also partnered with modern and flirty women’s wear designer Stacey Bendet, who hosted a presentation of her alice + olivia line at The McKittrick Hotel in New York City during the same week. The alice + olivia designs blend eclectic fabrics and patterns, creating bold and perfectly-tailored pieces.

Additionally, TRESemmé partnered with designers Rebecca Minkoff, Marissa Webb and Jenny Packham to create show-stopping hairstyles for their latest collections. Although no designer’s style is alike, each new fashion line provides the perfect canvas for TRESemmé stylists to polish the looks with gorgeous hair. Each designer’s unique style helps TRESemmé make this a reality, drawing inspiration from Minkoff’s chic yet edgy apparel line, Webb’s combination of masculine and feminine style and Packham’s elegant evening and bridal wear.

Close & Personal: Mahtab Jamali of Kaytayoon London

001

Through my years of blogging, I have met a lot of people in the fashion industry, few of them have left an impact and inspired me, and one of the most wonderful and adorable people I met who most certainly done that is the beautiful fashion Designer Mahtab Jamali. A beauty inside and out, a 27-year-old British bombshell with Persian roots, Founder, designer and official face of Katayoon, a model, international representative of Blush Hair and Beauty Salon, photographer and a qualified university lecturer. A woman who seems to excel in it all.

Born on August 1985 in Ahwaz, Iran, into a very artistic and highly educated family. Mahtab moved to the United Kingdom with her family at a young age. At the age of 17 she started her university education, studied Fashion Design for 5 years in Birmingham City University. and then continued her masters in Design With Learning and Teaching in Higher Education at Kingston University of London. At the age of 23 Mahtab started teaching Fashion Illustration to first and second year students in her university as part of her course and became one of the youngest lecturers. She then started her PhD in Dyslexia and has currently put it on hold to focus more on her booming career, and plans to continue studying again in a few years.

Mahtab started her own brand, Katayoon, in early 2011. Katayoon, which means Queen Of The World is also her mother’s name, Mahtab’s truly main inspiration in life, not only in fashion.

In such a short time all the hard work paid off, and the brand started getting great local and international awareness and have been in over 50 magazines and news papers so far, such as New York Times, The sun, Daily Telegraph, Closer Magazine, Heat Magazine, OX Magazine, Sheer and many more. Her clientele grew into the elite of celebrities and socialites, the likes of Mel B, Eva Longoria, Eva longoria’s sister, Millie Mackintosh, Alexandra Burke, Rachel Stevens, Miss World and Miss England, Lily Ghalichi, along with Princesses of Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.

Her designs are made to make a woman feel powerful, elegant, sexy, classy, and very confident. Nature has always been a part of her designs too, and for that she travels most of the times for her photoshoots, and her first source of inspiration is the beauty, femininity and grace she sees in each woman.

To me, she’s caught my attention when I first saw her while modelling for one of the brands, before I even met her, and after I did, she turned out to be a positive soul, with much love and amazing energy that lights up the room whenever she walks in. Her personal style has been also one of my greatest inspirations. Always dressed to kill, this beauty is showing no signs of stopping any time soon!

Review: J.F. Lazartigue Hair Treatment

I’ve always dealt with the problem of thinning hair..It’s not particularly thinning, but it’s too soft it makes it look that way..I used to go to J.F. Lazartigue regularly about 2 years ago..For some reason I stopped, and I just got back into it last month..I remember when I used to go, I got this new baby hair and I have to say my hair improved a lot.

Let me start by telling you a bit about the place; J.F. Lazartigue is a center that ultimately specializes in hair care & treatments..They also have a salon, nails spa, as well as an Organic Spa.

The founder, Jean-Francois Lazartigue, is one of the most renowned hair care specialists in France. He began his career as a hairdresser and opened his first salon in “Rue de Courcelles”, Paris, in December 1963. He has always been fascinated by hairdressing techniques and interested in the health of the hair.

They offer specialized treatments & products for almost everything related to hair; Dry & Damaged hair, Moisturizing Treatments, Oily Scalp Treatments, Anti-Dandruff Treatments, Hair Loss Treatments, Volumizing Treatments, Normal and Combination Hair, Styling Products, Daily and Sun Protection, Curly and Frizzy Hair, Treatments for Men, First Grey Hair..etc!

The place is spacious and relaxing, mostly in white and silver, with separate rooms for each client, so you can enjoy ultimate privacy..It’s one of my favorite things about them.

Each room has a little TV screen, a hair dryer, a sink, and products they use throughout your treatment; you can also get your mani & pedi done at the same place instead of waiting to finish & moving to the nail spa..It saves time 😉

My treatment is called ‘scalp treatment’, It helps relax the scalp, cleanse the roots, and keep the hair fresh and bouncy..I really like it; this is how it goes, at first, they apply this Massage Gel..It’s kinda minty, It cools off my scalp, head, and even hair! They leave it on after massaging it for about 20-30 minutes..I love it!

Then it’s time for this Propolis Jelly; it purifies & soothes the scalp, and leave it ready to absorb all nutrients from the shampoo..This also stays on for about 20 minutes 🙂

These 2 are the shampoos I use as the last part of my treatment..The first one stays for about 20 minutes, then it’s washed and the second one is massaged for about 7 minutes.

One more thing, you can add to your treatment is the hair mask..I prefer not to add it to mine cause it makes my hair even softer than it already is 😕 But if you’re thinking of pampering your hair, ask their hair consultant about the best combination of products for you.

And at last, the hair perfumes..I loooove their smell..Leave the hair smelling super beautiful and glamorous! 😀

If you’re a hair products freak like me, you must give them a visit..You’ll love it 🙂

J.F. Lazartigue is located at Salem Al Mubarak St, Salmiya, their contact number is 25744555.
