NYLA Method Launches Barre-based Fitness Classes for Women in the UAE

The barre fitness concept pioneered by Andrea DeBellis, a leader in the New York and London’s wellness scenes, recently announced the launch of NYLA Method in the UAE. From 19 March 2014, female-only classes will be taught across the UAE, to be followed with the exciting opening of a spacious villa, NYLA Method studio in Dubai in the upcoming months. Taught by one of six female instructors, NYLA Method sets a new standard in the UAE’s growing fitness scene, offering a fun workout that promises outstanding results.

NYLA Method combines the best of the barre fitness concept with other complimentary disciplines, taught by highly talented instructors who have relocated to the UAE from New York, Los Angeles, and Australia. Food enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy NYLA Kitchen, a sanctuary for the uber health conscious, where they can fuel up on an array of organically sourced super foods with gluten-free and dairy-free options; the ideal social hangout before or after a workout.

Join RunQ8: Make a Difference in Children’s Rehabilitative Care in Kuwait

Registrations are now open for RunQ8, the annual 10 kilometer charity race to be held Saturday, November 2 at 9 am, starting and ending at Marina Crescent on the Gulf Road. RunQ8 2013 is organized by the Fawzia Sultan Rehabilitation Institute (FSRI) and Agility, supporting health initiatives and raising health awareness. They encourage socially responsible engagement in our community to improve preventative healthcare, standards for treatment as well as equal access to medical care. Previously, RunQ8 successfully supported Eye Health and Road and Traffic Safety community-wide projects in Kuwait.

In its third year, RunQ8 is supporting Children’s Rehabilitation through the new FSRI Children’s Rehabilitation Clinic. Caring for a child with a physical and/or cognitive disability has significant emotional, physical and financial effects on the child and the family. Despite parents’ best intentions, they often are unable to provide the care needed to improve their child’s quality of life, reduce his/her physical pain and provide for rehabilitation. The heartbreaking reality is that the children who are the most vulnerable require the most extensive, complex and prolonged rehabilitative care, which is financially impossible for many families. RunQ8 believes that no child should be left behind due to lack of financial support or quality medical care. With FSRI’s pediatric program, they strive to meet the needs of families without resources. This year they will be raising funds through RunQ8 to ensure that FSRI can continue to provide free comprehensive rehabilitative care to those children in the greatest need who have limited resources.

Last year’s runners’ registration fees are being utilized to provide one year of comprehensive care currently to a child who has sustained severe injuries as a result of a traffic accident. Without your contributions last year, this child would have been unable to access the care needed. You are already making a difference! Red Bull Kart Fight 2012

Karting drivers in Kuwait gear up to experience the feeling of a real race; the adrenaline leading in to the minutes before departure, the intoxicating mix of burnt rubber, race fuel and the thrill of the grid departure. Red Bull Kart Fight is coming to Kuwait with the cooperation of Quarter Mile Club, to find the one that will defend the national colors in the World Final in Bologna, Italy on December 8 &9.

Official Puma Retail Store Opening In Al Hamra Luxury Center

I was invited by Ghaliah Technology to the opening of the first official Puma retail store in Al-Hamra Luxury Center. The store is spacious and they are carrying multiple collections for men, women, and kids.

The men’s collection is their biggest; they have something for every sport lover, football, basketball, running, and even motor-sports.

The women’s collection is kind of small. But the good thing that I usually take advantage of in sportswear stores is that you can always rock a pair of shoes from the men’s collection.

Loved these trendy wedge sneakers

British/Turkish fashion designer and Puma Creative Director, Hussein Chalayan Black Label Collection, is available too! and it features some super stylish pieces with an urban-swift twist.

Usain Bolt, the man with the fastest moves now has a wardrobe to match, and it’s also available at the store, ready to be styled.

Look closely at the top and the pants one of Puma staff was wearing, cool isn’t it? well, it’s the same piece! You play around with the buttons and your top becomes your pants! Super cool!

Moving on to what I enjoyed the most, The Creative Factory. We had the option of choosing 1 out of 3 sneakers for a complete customizing experience! LOVED!

Took my pick and started playing around with samples of fabrics, colors, leathers, and whatever can cross your mind while thinking of sneakers.

Done!

Voila! Love love love my sneakers..Will be receiving it in about 6 weeks. Yay!

Zumba guru Hermann Melo is going to be in Kuwait, tomorrow, October 10th, at Kazma Sporting Club (Basketball court), to host one of his infamous zumba masterclasses for 2 hours of pure fun and fitness, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
