BTS: The Posh Fairy for L’Occitane Au Bresil

IMG_0021

My latest project for Posh Fairy was a shoot for the soon to be launched L’Occitane au Bresil; a new brand with a French soul and a Brazilian heart. Traveling through the waters of Brazil, Olivier Baussan; the founder of L’Occitane en Provence discovered rich and exuberant eco-systems with fascinating ingredient stories, this encounter of Brazilian liveliness with L’Occitane’s values inspired to create a new brand: L’Occitane au Bresil.

The concept of the shoot was obviously inspired by Brasil, the beauty, the vivid colors, and the tradition. After scouting a few potential locations, we decided to shoot at a nursery, and Home & Garden were more than welcoming of the idea, and offered us complete access to their showroom. I will be sharing the final shots with you very soon, as they are currently exclusive material to Styles Magazine June issue.

And lastly for now, I would like to bring your attention towards every person who worked with me on this shoot, the team was in amazing harmony and they made the entire project such a great experience. A big thank you goes to all of them.

Coco Chanel, The Return: A Film by Karl Lagerfeld

In December 1953, Coco Chanel began her incredible return to center stage. The designer reopens her Haute Couture house after fifteen years of absence. The collection is welcomed by the French press with an icy silence. Only the American media supports the looks that define the rebirth of Chanel’s style.

“The Return” retraces this determining period, that shaped the legend of the designer of rue Cambon forever. “The Return,” imagined, written, and directed by Karl Lagerfeld, features Geraldine Chaplin in the role of Gabrielle Chanel, Rupert Everett, Anna Mouglalis, Lady Amanda Harlech, Arielle Dombasle, Kati Nescher, Vincent Darré and Sam McKnight.

A Local Talent: Fashion Illustrator Notsi Haloola

I love talented people! Specially those who come with a talent I wish I had! And one talent that attracted my attention lately, as well as many others’, is local fashion illustrator, Notsi Haloola. The girl is gifted! she’s been popping up everywhere and she deserves definitely it, I saw her work the first time when she followed me on Instagram, and started noticing her more when she comments on my photos, and one day I was browsing the internet and I see her name as the 1st runner-up at #MyFozazaDream and I realize, this girl is going places!

I emailed her to know more, and here’s what she had to say:

I used to sketch since I was like 4! And won lots of drawing contests; at age 17 I won 2nd place in SASH designing contest, then after that I stopped! I recently started again after seeing Mia Al Maktoum’s designing contest ad on her blog & winning 1st place!

Since then, she’s been getting more active working hard on her sketches for celebrities and fashion, and getting some cool mentions:

Her latest project is a collaboration with tshirtpolicy! She’s illustrated a few designs exclusively for them which are being printed, and coming to us on stands very soon!

This girl is keeping busy for sure! and spreading around widely! Her goal is to work with a magazine or on a project where she gets to sketch fashion away!

To know more about Notsi, follow her on instagram: @notsiz, and stay tuned for the latest updates on the #MyFozazaDream and tshirtpolicy collaboration results!
