Movie Review: The Help

I got the chance to watch ‘The Help’ couple of days ago; a drama that revolves around three very different women in Mississippi during the 1960s, who build an unlikely friendship around a secret writing project that breaks their community’s social rules of that time. From their implausible alliance a remarkable sisterhood emerges, enforcing all of them with the courage to transcend the lines that define them, and the realization that sometimes those lines are made to be crossed.

What I like about the movie is how shocking the rules were in discrimination amongst the white and the black; we all know how bad discrimination can get; color, religion, ethnicity, you name it..But I never imagined it could go to the level of forbidding book exchange at schools between the white & the black!!! That’s just insane!!

Anyways, it’s a movie worth spending your time on it if you’re into this kind of plots. Here’s the Trailer:
