Topshop Marina Mall Opening Event

I was invited to this weeks opening of Topshop Marina Mall, and oh boy! Found myself in fashion lala land! The store is huge! The biggest Topshop in Kuwait by far, and it’s packed with amazing items and all sorts of hot trends of the season!

I love peplum. in all colors, shapes, and ways! I think it’s absolutely feminine and very flattering. you can dress it up or tone it down, but it’d guarantee a great polished look.

Casual wear at Topshop has always topped the stylish charts. It’s comfy, cool, and hip.

Denim section has also grown in size and variety. Different cuts and colors to suit all tastes.

The lovely staff at Topshop gave us personalized tags to place on our favorite piece in the store for shoppers to see through the opening eve. Mine said ‘The Side Talk Blog Loves’ and since it was impossible to choose just one favorite, I went with this peplum dress because of how many things you could do with it. It’d look great with statement accessories, or with leather jacket and boots, and so many other looks to experiment with.

Topshop’s infamous violent lips had to be there

Makeup wonderland

The gorgeous accessories stand at Topshop is always a destination when looking to make a statement! I love their collection, it’s fierce and trendy, and always eye-catching.

Now, moving on to my favorite part, that’s when I died and woke up in shoes heaven! literally! Their shoe closet is out-of-this-world! I LOVE IT!

An exciting addition is ‘Topshop Personal Shopper’ lounge; available only at the Marina Mall store, you can now book you appointment for free and enjoy the season’s hottest looks. It’s a perfect time-saver; you’ll be able to reserve key pieces, receive invites to exclusive previews, and it’s free of charge!

Topshop’s personal shopper, Hannah, prepared a little personalized scavenger hunt game for us, my hint said ‘I’m very delicate, but I’m the Cobra queen’, we had to find the item that fits the description and if we do, we get to keep it.

First attempt: those earrings. Well, failed :???:

Second attempt: this skirt, and it was a keeper!

Food and pass arounds also came in style to compliment the ambiance; very royal and foggy.

Thank you so much Topshop for a fun evening full of style and lovely people. Had a blast.

My Trip to Yas Island: Desert Safari

As you may know if you’ve been following my blog, I was in Yas island around 3 weeks ago, and I got to do some activities that I have been sharing through different posts; another thing I got to do was desert safari! I’ll start by saying, I’ve been desert camping before, I’ve been off-roading as well! However, for some crazy reason, I’ve never done a desert safari trip before!

We were a big group, we gathered at the hotel lobby and waited for our ride. Right on time, at 4 pm, the Land Cruisers started arriving one by one, and each group of 5 got in one! 15 minutes later, we were on the highway, heading towards our destination.

We drove for about 40 minutes on the highway before we finally took an exit towards the desert!

Then we got into another exit, this time a dusty route, drove for another 5 minutes and finally stopped to get prepped for our adventure!

The drivers were all locals, we asked our driver if they usually get into accidents and he went, ‘A LOT’ :???: seriously buddy?! Too bad for me, I was already there, and there was no chance to flee! I was nervous to say the least!

Anyway, while we got the chance to get friendly with the camels! Each driver reduced tires’ pressure so the cars won’t sink in the soft sand; yet again, we got back in the cars to hit the road, or more likely, the ‘off-road’!

Our car number was 12, one of my favorite numbers ;-)

And here we go! I couldn’t get too many snap shots as the vehicle was shaking like craaazy! At a certain point I looked outside my back seat window and it was facing the ground! It was definitely a thrill ride!

We stopped again to have another break and take a look at the beautiful scenery around us..We were literally, in the middle of no where! It was absolutely breath-taking!

After about 20 minutes of playing around in the sand bare foot, and taking lots of pictures, we hop in the vehicles again! This time for a tougher ride! We went non-stop for about 45 minutes! Many ppl in the group got sick :???: and the drivers kept going crazier with the cars like nothing matters!

We finally got to our last destination! The camp! To my surprise it was jammed! And of course, the best thing for me to dust myself up was a cup of Arabic coffee! Perfection!

We spent about 2 hours at the camp; dinner was served, a belly dancer did a show! and we were just having a good time.

Before we leave, they switched off the lights at the camp for us to get to see the darkness of the desert. It was amazing! Pitch black. And one beautiful star, standing alone, lighting away.

In case you were wondering, we drove back o the hotel on a normal road! Didn’t hit the desert in the dark.

My Trip to Yas Island: Yas Kart Zone

While in Yas Island last week, one of our planned activities was of course, karting!

We went early in the morning, they were expecting us, and they had everything set up! First, we had to get the briefing on the rules of the race, signs, flags, and of course, shape of the track.

We were then asked to write in our details and sign a waiver form! :???:

And finally, we were guided to the changing room to get in FULL GEAR! ;)

Tadaaaa! The track looks hot!

The race begins!

3 hours later, we finally finish the race!! I had bruises everywhere! But was such a GREAT experience! Sooo much FUN! The results? We were team number 8, didn’t exactly win, but we didn’t do so bad either! :P
