Failaka Trip: Day 2

After settling in, and discovering the area of the hotel and around it, we woke up very early the next day and went for a walk..The weather was grey and gloomy, kinda depressing I’d say..But I was lucky to get some good snaps.

When the skies got a bit lighter we decided to take the car and go farther around the island to see the damages and the ruins.

This says: Do not eanter! House is haunted!

We wanted to see as much as we can from the damages that we actually went off the road into the desert and the forsaken houses..This gave me the chills! Such an overwhelming feeling when you’re in the middle of the desert, listening to the sound of wind hitting the last standing walls, and visualizing how this place used to be someone’s home..It’s really distressing.

Failaka Trip: Day 1

I have been on a trip to Failaka island since yesterday. Everything is great so far except for the fact that I’m sick :( The island is much more better than what I expected! I’ll be sharing with you a coverage of the trip in the next couple of days so make sure to stay tuned!

The trip started off with the ferry ride. We needed our car there with us so we shipped it on the ferry and enjoyed a beautiful view throughout the trip.
