After settling in, and discovering the area of the hotel and around it, we woke up very early the next day and went for a walk..The weather was grey and gloomy, kinda depressing I’d say..But I was lucky to get some good snaps.
Miskan Island can be seen clearly from the shore of Failaka
When the skies got a bit lighter we decided to take the car and go farther around the island to see the damages and the ruins.
This says: Do not eanter! House is haunted!
We wanted to see as much as we can from the damages that we actually went off the road into the desert and the forsaken houses..This gave me the chills! Such an overwhelming feeling when you’re in the middle of the desert, listening to the sound of wind hitting the last standing walls, and visualizing how this place used to be someone’s home..It’s really distressing.
