Middle East Launch of Baume & Mercier Clifton Collection

Swiss Maison d’Horlogerie Baume & Mercier presented its newest watch collection Clifton at an exclusive evening at The Cigar Lounge, The Address Downtown Dubai, last week, at an event themed to reflect the masculine Clifton collection territory and its historic roots in the “Golden Fifties”. Both urban and classic, from its clean lines down to its finishes, Clifton was created specifically for a male clientele wishing to purchase a timepiece to accompany them through every moment of their lives, transcending both personal and professional spheres. The collection features a total of nine references, including the emblematic Clifton 1830, a particularly sophisticated watch which took direct inspiration from the historic model, four 41mm automatic pieces, two 39mm red gold pieces and two moonphases.

Review: Geox SS2013 New Collection

I received an invitation from the very friendly team at Habchi & Chalhoub to visit the Geox store at The Avenues and take a look at the spring/summer 2013 collection.

It was my first time in the store; for those of you who are not familiar with Geox as well, it is an Italian brand of shoes and apparel manufactured utilizing waterproof/breathable fabrics. Usually, when I hear such terms, I assume that the privilege of comfort will mean giving up the style. To my surprise, the collection was on the contrary, stylish!

They offer a wide variety of heels, flats, sneakers, men and kids collection, as well as apparel. And what’s special about it is that every single item in the store falls under the breathable technique, from the shoe soles, to the apparel fabrics.

The men’s collection is equally hip, trendy, and classy. Would make a perfect gift too.

Now since I recently had a baby, I started having a soft spot for little baby stuff; this collection was insanely cute! And the guys at Geox were generous enough to send me home with the cutest shoes for baby Yoyo! Him and I loved it very much!

We are only a few days away from the Kenzo opening in The Avenues Mall. As you may have noticed, the buzz for the event kicked off last week with the #KuwaitRocksKenzo campaign organized by no other than Noaf Hussein of PLT. H&M Debuts Autumn 2013 Collection at Paris Fashion Week

Ashley Olsen, Chloe Moretz and Emma Roberts were among the guests in Paris as H&M presented its first ever catwalk show during Fashion Week. H&M’s Autumn Collection 2013 was shown to an audience in a specially created space within the grounds of the Musée Rodin. The catwalk show, which combined tailored shapes with delicate dresses to create a tomboy spirit, gave the audience the chance to see H&M’s fashion in line with the international fashion schedule. The collection will be available in around 200 stores worldwide, as well as online, from September 5, 2013.

Rihanna Debut River Island Collection At London Fashion Week

The highly anticipated Rihanna for River Island capsule collection finally debuted at London Fashion Week! The clothes were urban in flavor, with crop tops, thigh-high slits and battered denim; Rihanna have said before that she wanted her line to fit “different moods” and “different attitudes” while being “casual, chic, and flirty.” Hands down, she served her cause! I did not fall in love with the collection, but I’m definitely eyeing some pieces, and can’t wait for them to hit stores on 5th March. If you missed the show, you can watch it, here.

H&M’s Rock’n'Roll Mansion Collection with Georgia May Jagger

Georgia May Jagger is in the Rock’N’Roll Mansion this spring at H&M. Model Georgia May Jagger will showcase H&M’s Rock‘n’Roll Mansion collection this February. Georgia, daughter of Rolling Stone frontman, Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall, is the quintessential poster child for all things bridging music and fashion. The collection boasts edgy biker jackets and tie-dye jeans, mixed boucle jackets and belted shift dresses reminiscent of staples for music and fashion aficionados.. “I love the dress,” says Georgia. “It’s such a versatile piece, and full of new rock‘n’roll spirit.” Georgia shot the campaign in a luxury rock mansion, surrounded by guitars, drum kits and motorbikes. “I think music influences fashion and has done so for generations,” says Georgia. “Music creates a certain mood and then people dress accordingly. I think it’s all quite closely intertwined.” Georgia’s own style is reflected in the mix of the collection. “I don’t really have an everyday look,” she says. “I wear what makes me feel good. It can be skinny jeans one day, and dresses and boots another.” Georgia, who turns 21 this month, is committed to her career in fashion. “I’m really enjoying what I’m doing at the moment,” she says. “I’m still so young so it’s hard for me to imagine what I might be doing in ten years time. I really like photography, so it would be great to do more in the future.”

Rihanna Debuts Her River Island Collection

Rihanna is collaborating with British-based clothing label River Island on a capsule collection for spring 2013! And the brand posted the first evidence of their labor’s fruits, via Facebook. Worn by Rihanna; a navy-blue jumpsuit with buttons, an elastic waist, and an attached hood; she accessorized with a gold chain necklace and her Rolex.
