Amazing campaign by Dove! Left me speechless! Makes you wonder..
Surprised that I just stumbled upon this video campaign, debuted about a year ago, INXS’s Need You Tonight, sang by Liv Tayler for the launch of Givenchy’s Very Irrésistible Electric Rose! Yeah I know, very old news, but I loved the video and had to share it! Enjoy xx
I guess they weren’t called ‘supermodels’ for no reason! Guess’ 30th anniversary campaign taps supermodel Claudia Schiffer for a series of flirty black and white images! Loving the concept and the brigitte bardot-inspired hair. And yes, she is 42 years old and still looking as gorgeous as ever!
Finally! Images of the awaited collaboration are emerging! Lana Del Rey for H&M, and I cannot wait to see more! From a pink angora blend sweater to printed leggings, a tweed biker jacket and a tweed figure-hugging faux leather trimmed dress, looks like she’s got something very interesting for us in store!
Not sure when the collection is scheduled to hit the stores exactly, but will keep you posted.
H&M announced Lana Del Rey, the American singer-songwriter, as the face & voice of their upcoming fall campaign, in addition to their holiday ads. H&M PR manager Chloe Bowers says the below of the choice:
“We were looking for a style icon and singer to model our autumn/winter 2012-13 collection and Lana Del Rey was the perfect choice. We think she shows our fall fashion in a very inspiring way. The theme of the campaign is a modern and feminine woman with a soft attitude. Curves and waist are important in autumn’s silhouette.”
These first few images see the artist in a pale pink angora pullover with her usual ridiculously big hair. She’ll also appear in a television campaign and record a cover of “Blue Velvet” to coincide, which we’ll get to see mid-September.
I’m excited! And so far, I looove the contrast of her hair and make-up to the soft pastel pink hue! Very Fifties, and very feminine! Can’t wait!
The new faces of MAC’s Viva Glam product line had their first ad out; Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin both tweeted the promo shot for their MAC Viva Glam campaign, which donates proceeds to the MAC AIDS fund.
VIVA GLAM is a line of lipsticks and lipglasses from which every cent of the sale price goes to help those living with HIV/AIDS around the world, setting M.A.C. apart from its peers, most of which only donate a portion of the profits of a product.
The Ricky & Nicki campaign products will be out in M.A.C stores in Feb.
Manal Al-Sharif, the first 1st Saudi female driver was released!
Manal is one of the organizers of the ‘women 2 drive’ campaign that is being prepared to take place in Saudi starting June 17..She has been in jail since May 21st when she was the first female to drive her car in Saudi, and got arrested for it!
Power to her!
Manal, a 32-year-old Saudi woman, is one of the organizers of the ‘women 2 drive’ campaign that is being prepared to take place in Saudi starting June 17.
I heard about the campaign a while back, and I’ve been anticipating the progress and the results..But, today, I saw something on P0ach, and it really disturbed me
Manal was ARRESTED!!!! And the campaign didn’t even kick official start yet! WTH!! Who gives them the power, right, and authority, to take a woman’s freedom and put her in jail, over driving a car??!
I kinda don’t get it..what exactly are they against? Women driving? or Women driving ‘cars’? Like if Saudi women took a herd of camels and rode them all over town, would that be ok? Or would they arrest them too? And how about the camels? specially the ‘male’ ones? would they also be arrested for allowing ‘females’ to ride them?! I really don’t get it!
This is one of the most discriminating things I’ve seen against woman! It’s 2011!! And women are not allowed to D.R.I.V.E in Saudi!! And why?! Because it’s prohibited! Says who?! God only knows! And don’t even try to pin this on Islam, cause seriously, if you’re gonna try to do that, you’re gonna need to back it up with a proof..And such a thing DO NOT exist!
The is disgrace..shame..and embarrasement being made in the name of false cultural habits and fictional accusations of religion!!
Women of Saudi, I really hope your campaign pulls through..and we get to see the victory of simple human rights for the generations to come.
