Solo Churros Bloggers’ Event

Solo Churros, the newly launched Spanish Sweets Shop, invited a number of bloggers to try out their specialties, and boy! Those babies are good!!! Really really good!

We kicked it off with some refreshments and then went straight ahead to the serious stuff!

The classic/original churros with hot chocolate, white chocolate, and raspberry chocolate dip, YUM!

Second on the menu were the ramadan flavors: rahash with chocolate, orange blossom, saffron, saffron with dates, dates with sharia and nuts, dates with caramel, oreo cheesecake. What can I say!! I could NOT stop!

And to top it all, we had a hot chocolate shot on the go before leaving! Sugar overdose BIG time!

Thank you Solo Churros for a super ‘sweet’ evening! Didn’t know how yummy those goodies are, and now I’m addicted! Wish you all the best.

Bayan Dental Bloggers Dinner @Melenzane

Bayan Dental organized a dinner for bloggers to get the chance to finally meet us and put a face to the names :P They chose Melenzane at Al Bidaa, and it was my first time to try it; great place, interior, menu, food..We had such a lovely time.

Please don’t mind the quality of the pictures! We picked a table outside and the lighting was not helping. You can check PinkgirlQ8 review for a glimpse on the interior and mouth-watering pictures of the food.

Thank you Bayan Dental for a fun evening, filled with beautiful smiles! It was a great pleasure meeting with Rama & Yasmeen. The great people behind my favorite clinic.

‘Cutest Baby Challenge’ Dinner at Vinny’s!

This weekend, last Thursday to be exact, we were invited for dinner by Vinny’s Team & The 7ajidude family to celebrate The Cutest Baby Blogger Instagram Challenge!

It was my first time at Vinny’s, so I was excited to try it out! I got there and saw the cutest tags with a personalized message for each of us!

This was mine and I loved it!

The place itself is very funky and modish! I loved the use of kitchenware in the interior and the way the place is set up is just hip!

Moving on: food time :D I got there a bit late so I missed on a couple of dishes..LOVED all what I tasted! Great rich flavour that is not very typical, yet not too much to handle!

Pizzaaaaa..Both were light and tasted GOOD!

Dessert, a killer Kinder Pudding..A MUST TRY when you go!

And since the dinner was in celebration of the ‘Cutest Baby blogger Challenge’ Bakerista supported the event with cute custom-made cakepops that look like the baby-bloggers photos!! Super cute!

Before leaving, the owner of Vinny’s, Bader Al Kulaib, gave each one of us a personalized discount card that we can use every time we go!! Suppppper cool! Thank you Vinny’s and Bader Al Kulaib For a great evening, and a wonderful hospitality..It was a blast!!

Zain Bloggers’ Ghabga

Last night, I was invited to Zain’s bloggers’ Ramadan Ghabga @ Beit Al Sadu..As usual, I went with FroYo..As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Zain’s Social Media & Marketing team, and they gave us our badges :)

The place was nice..They obviously had Sadu pieces all over the place, sadu sewing machines, and many items made of sadu in their little store inside.

We got to mingle a bit with other bloggers, then Mr. Mohamad Al Muhaini from Zain’s Chief Commercial Office welcomed us and introduced Mr. Omar Al-Omar who gave a little welcoming speech as well..

It was a full house! Met many of my fellow bloggers..7ajiDude, Moody, Q8Rain, Pink Girl Q8, His&hers, Ansam, Q8Blend, Hi Kuwait, Omarker, LadyB, and Jacqui. :D It’s always a pleasure seeing you guys.

After the speech there was a buffet :) Thank you guys!

Before we left, Zain team handed us a little goodie bag, of course, made of Sadu :) Beautiful! Let me say something, I loved the thought put into the tiniest details of everything that was inside..The branded wrapping, the personalized messages for each blogger..It’s very tasteful :D

Thank you so much Zain for the invitation and a fun night :) You guys always excel in courteous gestures and never fail to put a smile on my face..Well done!

Happy Social Media Day To Us!

June 30th of every year marks Social Media Day all around the world..And on that occasion, we got to celebrate it for the first time here in Kuwait too! Thanks to our bloggers, his&hers, Q8Stig, and Omarker, who came up with the idea of gathering the Kuwaiti blogs together..An event by bloggers for bloggers :D

It took place at Al-Corniche Club; I arrived with FroYo Nation &; Moody..As soon as we walked in, ‘His’ handed us our name tags..Each blogger had one printed out with their name..Cute :)

We got seated by the time Q8Stig was announcing his real identity for the first time :D and talking about the event in a sort of introduction..throughout the event, the presentation was divided between his, Q8Stig, and Omarker..We also got to hear from Saud Al Khateib, a graphic designer, among many other things, who showed us a bit of his work, and spoke to us about Reddit, a social media/news website that has been taking the world by storm.

It was nice seeing all the bloggers..Listening to their views, tips, and the challenges they face..Too bad for me, I had to leave before the end of the event due to a prior engagement..I missed the last part :( The bloggers’ pledge!! But you can see it all on 7aji dude’s great event coverage posts, here, and here.

And since i missed writing my pledge on the ‘I pledge’ wall..My second best option would be to write it here..So here goes, I pledge to be objective, reflect my own thoughts, and be honest..always be active, and support this ‘union’ at all times :D

In the end, I’d like to thank his&hers, Q8Stig, and Omarker for putting together this event, and giving us the opportunity to be part of a great initiative..loved it!! Loved the ideas and the spirit..Thank you so much, and I’m definitely looking forward for upcoming gatherings :D

7aji Dude’s: Blogger’s Baby Photos Competition

Our fellow blog 7aji Dude has a very fun competition for bloggers to participate in and for everyone to have a chance at winning..If you are a blogger submit a baby picture of you and then participants must try to guess whose who and the one who guesses the most number of bloggers will win :D

Many bloggers are participating and its a fun thing to do on the blogsphere for a change! The Rules…

1- You must be a blogger

2- You can only submit one photo

3- The photos must be your own obviously

4- Send your photo’s to 7ajidude@gmail.com

5- last day of submission is Thursday 23rd of June

6- The first person who comments with the right names of the which baby photo belongs to which blogger wins

7- In the case of no one getting all the names right, the person who guessed most of the names of the blogs right wins

8- All answers should be commented on the post itself, in order not to create confusion on twitter and facebook.

9- The pictures will be posted on Friday 24th of June, winners will be announced the following Friday 1st of July

10- No Cheating ;-)

The winner will be getting vouchers worth of KD 40 to any Al-Shayaa store/restaurant.
