Red Bull Kart Fight 2012

Karting drivers in Kuwait gear up to experience the feeling of a real race; the adrenaline leading in to the minutes before departure, the intoxicating mix of burnt rubber, race fuel and the thrill of the grid departure. Red Bull Kart Fight is coming to Kuwait with the cooperation of Quarter Mile Club, to find the one that will defend the national colors in the World Final in Bologna, Italy on December 8 &9.

If you’re between the age of 13 and 40 and think you have what it takes to be a champion, then set your fastest lap on November 23 at the specially built track at the 360 Mall outdoor parking.

The Red Bull Kart Fight Final on November 24th, 2012 gives the fastest 20 time setters on the 23rd of November, the opportunity to battle it out wheel-to-wheel for the Kuwait spot in the World Final, where champions from 20 countries demonstrate their talent in an event open to the world’s media as well as race fans and supporters – a fantastic festival of speed and international competition.

Official Puma Retail Store Opening In Al Hamra Luxury Center

I was invited by Ghaliah Technology to the opening of the first official Puma retail store in Al-Hamra Luxury Center. The store is spacious and they are carrying multiple collections for men, women, and kids.

The men’s collection is their biggest; they have something for every sport lover, football, basketball, running, and even motor-sports.

The women’s collection is kind of small. But the good thing that I usually take advantage of in sportswear stores is that you can always rock a pair of shoes from the men’s collection.

Loved these trendy wedge sneakers

British/Turkish fashion designer and Puma Creative Director, Hussein Chalayan Black Label Collection, is available too! and it features some super stylish pieces with an urban-swift twist.

Usain Bolt, the man with the fastest moves now has a wardrobe to match, and it’s also available at the store, ready to be styled.

Look closely at the top and the pants one of Puma staff was wearing, cool isn’t it? well, it’s the same piece! You play around with the buttons and your top becomes your pants! Super cool!

Moving on to what I enjoyed the most, The Creative Factory. We had the option of choosing 1 out of 3 sneakers for a complete customizing experience! LOVED!

Took my pick and started playing around with samples of fabrics, colors, leathers, and whatever can cross your mind while thinking of sneakers.

Done!

Voila! Love love love my sneakers..Will be receiving it in about 6 weeks. Yay!

Thank you Puma and Ghaliah Technology for the invitation, loved the store, and enjoyed my time; will be definitely making more visits whenever I need an addition to my sportswear wardrobe!

Zumba Fitness Masterclass with Hermann Melo

Zumba guru Hermann Melo is going to be in Kuwait, tomorrow, October 10th, at Kazma Sporting Club (Basketball court), to host one of his infamous zumba masterclasses for 2 hours of pure fun and fitness, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In a normal case scenario, I wouldn’t miss this for the world! But unfortunately, due to medical restrictions, I’m gonna have to :cry: Check out this video of Hermann Melo’s masterclass I got off youtube, and look at the amount of fun and positive energy there is! I DIE!

Egyptian Olympians to Wear Fake Nike and Adidas!

Egyptian Olympic team officials found themselves at the centre of an embarrassing fiasco involving their athletes and fake Nike team uniforms! Egypt’s country’s committee chairman, General Mahmoud Ahmed Ali told the Press, “we signed with a Chinese distributor in light of Egypt’s economic situation,” who sent him the counterfeit merchandise, including bags with “large Nike logos on the front, but the zippers have ‘Adidas’ written on them.” Two brands for less than the price of one!

Participating synchronised swimmer Yomna Khallaf tweeted how she had been given a series of crude knock-offs in her team clothing kit! And she also claimed she was forced to spend about $300 of her own money to buy genuine Nike gear after members of the Egyptian Olympic Committee in Egypt told her to take the gear or go without!

Yesterday, two days after the incident broke out, Nike announced it was donating gear to the Egyptian athletes! Seriously, Egypt?!

Red Bull Car Park Drift Hits Again

Following the tremendous success of the past two years, “Red Bull Car Park Drift” has become a highly anticipated yearly event, not only in Kuwait but in most of the Middle Eastern countries participating in the regional competitions. Once again this year, drifting shows and exhilarating performances take off from Kuwait, opening a whole new season of heightened and exciting challenges, to conclude with an outstanding finale in Lebanon.

The local championship kicks off Friday 10th of February; the competition which is taking place at Parking Lot # 4 of the Kuwait International Fair is sponsored by Chevrolet and in collaboration with the “Quarter Mile” club. It returns once again to provide motorsport lovers in addition to the thrilling show performances, a chance to experience high-speed and utmost suspense.
